The Canadian Clinical Supplies Association was formed in 1995 by a group of clinical supply professionals who needed a forum to discuss issues unique to Canadian clinical supplies. The inaugural meeting at Searle Canada in Oakville brought together half a dozen companies to discuss common issues and objectives. From this meeting, the Canadian Clinical Supplies Association was founded. The group has been meeting 3 to 4 times each year since then, sharing ideas, discussing issues and providing collaborative input to Health Canada on propose regulations relating to clinical supplies.
