6.0 Officers Print E-mail

6.1 Offices

There will be a Chair and a Vice-Chair. The Vice-Chair automatically becomes the Chair and the new Vice-chair is elected by the membership.

6.2 Term of Office

The term of office is one year, beginning with the May or second meeting each year, whichever comes first.

6.3 Eligible members

Individuals must be members of the CCSA for 2 years to be eligible to run for office.

6.4 Election Process

The vote will be administered between the first and second meeting of each year. During the first meeting, an election committee will be formed consisting of the Vice-Chair and 1 or 2 other members (who are not running for office). This committee will collect the nominations and administer the election. The results will be announced prior to the May (or 2nd meeting). A vote is not necessary if there is only one nominee.

6.5 Vacancy

Should the position of Chair or Vice-Chair become vacant, the remaining officer will temporarily assume the role of both Chair and Vice-Chair. An election shall be held for a new Vice-Chair as soon as convenient, but no later than the regularly scheduled election (between the 1st and 2nd meeting each year). A Vice-Chair elected in this manner will serve the remaining term of the vacated position and then a full term starting at the normal time (as defined in 5.2). No additional election is necessary at this time.
